Brainstorming: Free Write

For this second essay I am going to talk about how being a nurse involves a lot of education, knowledge and tools in order to help patients. Being in the medical field involves a lot of science, but it is not all that can help you in the line of work of nursing. Art is supposedly a whole different field, and involves a whole different section of the brain, but is it possible that it can improve the education, knowledge, and be a tool for nurses? I think that it can. With almost everything in life, intertwining and mixing up new and different ideas can create magic. It is about what we do with said magic, and how it can affect our society. If you think about it, everywhere we turn there is art, especially in our classes. For Anatomy, diagrams and pictures (which are art), help me the most with understanding key concepts and ideas. Being a nurse, I think art can be a great asset to me, or anyone else. From the time I’m in nursing school, till I’m in the hospital, having the arts integrated with science can only enhance my knowledge, and ideological thinking. Overall, I can’t think of any reasons why the arts would/could hinder the sciences and my career path, which is why I’ m pro art.
